Editorial policy

Cuadernos de Teología - Universidad Católica del Norte publishes unedited papers, research results, and studies that have not been published before, neither submitted to peer reviewing by any other scientific journal. Documents are also accepted in other languages: Portuguese, French, and English. Authors are fully responsible for the contents of their documents.

The Journal operates with the arbitration system of two or more double-blind peer reviewing, i.e., the author/s do not know peer reviewers’ identity, and vice versa, reviewers do not know the identity of the author of the paper he/she is reviewing. Once peer reviewing ends, the Director or Sub-Director of the Journal must inform the author/s about the state of the paper submitted to revision.

Our Journal does not make any charges from authors for submitting, processing, and publishing their papers.

The Journal submits all received articles to a coincidence or anti-plagiarism detection review.

Finally, 80% of the manuscripts annually published come from external authorship. The latter refers to researchers who are not affiliated with UCN, neither are part of the Editorial Board of the Journal.
