On the occasion of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the beginning of the Vatican Council II, this article recalls some landmarks of the elaboration of the Dogmatic Constitution about the Church, Lumen Gentium. This memory’s work is to show the actuality of the main guidelines of this Constitution about the being and the mission of the Church in our context today.
